Title: The art of buying a dress
Author: almostaddictive
Rating: K+
Pairings or characters involved: Robin, Amon
Word count: (487
Summary: Amon finds himself a bit over his head (more than once!) when going shopping for Robin...

He hesitated outside the store; it wasn't that he was embarrassed, it just felt so wrong to go into a shop filled with women clothing, women accessories, and quite frankly, women.
But he had to. Steering his way towards the double-doors and into the shop he was greeted by a female cashier to his left. She didn't look amazed, and Amon was starting to relax. The inside wasn't overly large or very small. It was a medium-sized room filled with women clothing, as he had expected. A few women were out shopping, some with their friends or husbands. A dark-green dress caught his eye as he went further into the myriad of clothes and he stopped to check it out. The colour would suit her perfectly, but he had no idea what size she had... he mentally smacked his head and berated himself for his stupidity; how could he be so idiotic and not find out her size? Maybe he should just go for the jewelry... however, she had mentioned she’d always wished to own a dress besides the casual black one she always wore. Besides, he knew she liked green, and this fabric was simply smooth and-

Wait a minute. He found himself having stroked the dress and earned a strange look from the other woman working in the shop. Giving her a reassuring look (as believable as he could) he took the dress with him (what
was that fabric?) and initiated a conversation:

"Excuse me, do you have this in a smaller size?"

Suddenly the woman's face lit up, her blue eyes sparkling.

"Of course! What is your girlfr-"

He stared questioningly at her and the woman blushed as she tucked a brown strand of hair behind her ear.

"I mean, your, um, I mean her size."

Now it was Amon's turn to blush.

"Um, actually... I don't know."

The woman's face seemed to lighten up.

"Well then, how tall is she? Small?"

"Yes, her head reaches under my shoulder and her waist is about..." Amon measured with his hands, trying to remember how they curled around her when they kissed, "this wide."

"How cute! I would guess her size is a 34, then. Would you like a receipt?"

"Why is there a dress on the bed?"

He looked up from where he sat at the kitchen chair and gazed at her, looking innocent.

"Why wouldn't there be a dress on the bed?"

She crossed her arms, attempting to look stern.

He held his hands up in defense.

"Alright, alright. I haven't wasted our money, ok? It's perfectly fine to mpff-"

Amon was mercilessly silenced by a deep kiss.

"Now, I think I'm gonna need some help with that zipper," she mumbled, her lips swaying teasingly over his own.

["I think my bra will have to go too,  it being a sleeveless dress and all, don't you think?"]l

ADMIN - Challenge 38

Okay, folks...here it is! We're only a week late, but given our track record this past year or two that's nothing. The first official re-watch has ended and we are now in the post episode chatter phase.

Challenge 38 is: Replacement

As always, take it as you will. You can do a literal interpretation and go with something out of the episode, or else take the word and turn it into something fabulous. I look forward to hearing from you!

Admin - Rising From the Ashes

Most of you have probably seen this on other Witch Hunter Robin LJ communities, but sureasdawn is organizing a re-watch of the entire series. More information, including times and chat info, will be made available on whr_rewatch as decisions are made.

I'd like to use this opportunity to bring some life to this community once again. Unfortunately, things fell by the wayside thanks to a prolonged illness on my part and then an increase in duties at work. I'm hoping to change all that and will once again be issuing weekly challenges based, at least in part, on the episode(s) we watch each week. I'll have more on the format of the challenges as we get closer to time.

So...if you haven't already, please go join whr_rewatch and let's have some fun!

Also, if anybody is interested in helping out with modly duties, please feel free to contact me via LJ's private message feature.

Non Challenge: Hot 4 Teacher

Thirteen year old fledgling nun Robin Sena entered into Father Juliano's private study. To pull her from her normal everyday studies, something important had come up.

"My child," the lead Witch Hunter regarded his secret granddaughter. How she reminded him of his beloved Maria. "I see you have been nothing short of exemplary in the classroom this year. I have decided to broaden your horizons."

The new teenager glanced from her mentor to the individual standing off to the side.

"This is Amon and he's been TDA'ed here to Italy for awhile. For a month or so he will tutor you in Japanese."

The data raced across the screen, and his eyes tracked it ceaselessly. It was simply what he did. And if he didn't do it...

He blinked, and returned to the lines. The slipstream.

He'd heard that word once, on an old sci-fi TV show from a few decades back...and they'd shown space, full of whirling blues and greens - the slipstream.

In a way...he viewed the data like that. It was a different space, but the colors were the same, racing across the screen – blueprints, dossiers, case files, Factory reports…It was what allowed him to continue moving through this life.

Title:  Paid in Full
Author: sparrow779
Rating: G
Characters: Amon, Robin, Doujima
Word Count: 100
Summary: Shoe shopping.

He didn't want to be there. I'll never lose an office bet again.

Robin wobbled in shoes with heels higher than her boots'. Amon glowered as, frustrated, Robin teeter-tottered her way over to him.

"I can't wear these," she complained, softly. "Are they really necessary?"

"I'm not the one you should be asking," he pointed out, nodding in Doujima's direction. The blonde was excitedly choosing more pumps for Robin to try on.

Robin grimaced, turned, wobbled again. Too much. Plop!

Into his lap she fell. Robin stammered apologies as Amon silently thanked Doujima for forcing this shopping trip on him.
